For today, I'm taking it one breath at a time.

There are days when the weight of everything arrives all at once.
And that is exactly how this Women's Day feels.
This week reminded me that we can hold more than one truth at the same time.
I can feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to speak to organisations about wellbeing - as I did on Friday - and still feel tired.
I can be excited about what is unfolding in my practice... and still feel uncertain.
I can be working hard, showing up, creating, building... and still miss my mom profoundly.
Grief has a way of sitting quietly until you least expect it. Then suddenly, love, loss and the passing of time are right there with you.
My mom's birthday is at the end of August. She would have been turning 68.
This year, grief has felt a little closer.
Perhaps that's why I've found myself wearing her jersey on Friday.
It's been altered - my nephew cut it, and I've turned it into a little cropped jersey. 😊
And somehow, I love it even more now.
Maybe because I get to carry a little piece of her with me.
I'll be honest.
I'm tired.
I've been working incredibly hard and pouring my heart into my practice. And some days, the tangible fruits of that labour feel very far away.
Those are the moments when doubt creeps in.
Is this making a difference? Is all this effort worth it? When will things begin to feel different?
And underneath those questions can sit financial pressure, emotional pressure, grief... and simply the exhaustion of trying to keep going.
But grief has taught me something:
Healing isn't about leaving someone behind.
It's about learning to carry their love into who we are becoming, while learning to live without their physical presence.
So today, I'm reminding myself to be gentle.
God is still guiding every step of this path - even the ones that feel steep, slow and heavy.
I don't share this for pity.
And I certainly don't share it because I have everything figured out.
I share it because perhaps someone else needs permission to admit:
"I'm tired."
Real resilience isn't about always being "on point."
Sometimes resilience is resting.
Sometimes it is recovery.
Sometimes it is letting the tears come.
Sometimes it is acknowledging that what is happening beneath the surface matters just as much as what everyone sees on the outside.
And perhaps one of the greatest gifts I can give myself - and the people I coach - is permission to stop believing that strength means pushing through at all costs.
For today, I'm taking it one breath at a time.
Wearing my mom's jersey.
Trusting the process.
And showing up exactly as I am:
Human first.
This #WomensDay, my hope is that we celebrate not only the achievements of women, but the wellbeing that makes those achievements sustainable.
Because success should never come at the cost of our wellbeing/wholeness.
To every woman reading this:
May you find the courage to care for yourself with the same compassion you so freely give to everyone else.
Happy Women's Day, beautiful queens. 💙
