There was something different about wearing my own name.

Sometimes You Don't Realise You're Living the Dream Until You Pause
On Saturday, I spent the day at the #WomensHealthExpo, representing Health Coaches Academy alongside three wonderful women.
It was a beautiful day - full of conversations, connections, photographs, graduates, exhibitors and people who are passionate about health and wellbeing.
And yet, my biggest takeaway wasn't really about the expo.
It was about me.
Somewhere between the conversations and the networking, I had a quiet realisation:
I've grown.
I've always been confident talking about wellbeing.
In my previous career, conversations about people, health and wellbeing were a big part of what I did. I could stand in a room and talk about what helps people thrive.
That part of me isn't new.
What's different now is that I'm doing it through something I've built myself.
I was wearing my Coaching4Health T-shirt.
My brand.
My business.
My QR code was on the back.
And whenever someone wanted to know more about what I do, I could simply turn around and say:
“Scan this.”😂
It sounds like such a small thing. But it isn't.
Five years into running my own practice, I realised just how meaningful that moment was.
Because there was a time when this was something I imagined. Something I hoped I would build.
Something I was still trying to find the confidence to fully own.
And now?
I'm doing it.
Not perfectly. Not with everything figured out. And certainly not at the end of the journey.
But I'm doing it.
I'm living a dream I once had.
And that felt incredibly heartwarming.
What was also beautiful was noticing how naturally I moved through the space.
I found myself approaching exhibitors whose work inspired me, introducing myself, connecting with them and thinking about the conversations we could have beyond the expo.
Some of those conversations may even find their way onto my radio show, because I'm increasingly interested in creating spaces where we can hear people's stories, ideas and visions around health and wellbeing.

I also loved seeing some of the Health Coaches Academy graduates and current students. There is something incredibly special about seeing people who have walked a similar learning journey now stepping into their own work and making their own impact. It reminded me that growth isn't always about achieving the next big milestone.
Sometimes it's about pausing long enough to notice who you've become.
I've become more visible.
More willing to talk about my work.
More comfortable saying, “This is what I do.”
More willing to connect.
More willing to be seen.
Owning it all the way.
And perhaps most importantly, more comfortable knowing that I don't have to have everything figured out to belong.
I can keep learning. I can keep building. I can keep contributing.
And I can allow myself to celebrate how far I've come.
Saturday reminded me:
I am not where I started.
And maybe that's worth pausing to celebrate.
A conversation for those behind the performance
My work today is centred around a question I believe more of us need to ask:
How well are you really doing behind the performance?
For organisations and corporate leaders, that means looking beyond output and asking what enables people to sustain their performance.
And for high-performing individuals, it means becoming curious about the internal experience behind the achievements.
Because sometimes the most important score isn't the one everyone else can see.
So, If you're a corporate leader or organisation thinking differently about wellbeing, performance and sustainable success, I'd love to connect.
And if you're a high-performing individual who is achieving on the outside but curious about what's happening behind the performance, I'd love to have that conversation with you too.
You can perform well and still ask: What is it costing me to keep performing?
That's the conversation I love having.
